BOMA Georgia advocacy efforts focus on representing the views of building owners and managers to government officials on the local and state levels. Throughout the years, BOMA Georgia's efforts have led to significant tax savings, less government regulation and other victories for the industry.

BOMA Georgia seeks to maintain an effective advocacy arm in order to protect the best interests of a growing commercial real estate industry. During Georgia’s legislative session—typically between January and April—Fiveash Stanley, Inc., BOMA Georgia’s political consultant firm at the state level, provides weekly legislative updates to members outlining activities at the Capitol. These updates are posted on this page on a weekly basis to keep members current on what elected officials are up to during the legislative session.

The BOMA Georgia Political Action Committee (PAC) aims to offer support to pro-business candidates running for political office on the state and local levels. The PAC conducts annual activities to raise the funds necessary to financially support candidates whose legislative priorities ultimately promote the success and growth of the commercial real estate industry and its professionals.

VOTERVOICE is an online grassroots advocacy tool that allows BOMA Georgia members to voice support for or opposition to local ordinances and state proposed legislation through emails and letters to elected officials in their home and business districts. VOTERVOICE is also a valuable tool to look up who your elected officials are. The more BOMA Georgia members use this system, the more our association will be recognized as active an participant in the effort to keep Georgia and its cities among the best in the United States for doing commercial real estate business.
