BTO Lunch: More Engineers Per SF and Outsourcing vs. In-House

More with less. That has been the mantra since the first recession of the late 2000s just over a decade ago. This trend continues for today’s engineers as they face the challenge of maintaining and operating more square feet per engineer. This challenge is compounded with the lingering effects of the COVID pandemic and the evolving technology and technical expertise needed for the job. Building engineers must now navigate a challenging obstacle course of customer service, preventive maintenance, and professional development. During this program, our subject matter experts will provide an overview of these challenges and explore solutions with attendees.

BOMA Technical Organization (BTO) Quarterly Luncheons bring together building engineers and others interested in the technical aspects of properly maintaining commercial properties. Each luncheon includes educational coverage of a topic important to the industry. To maximize attendance, each luncheon is held twice at different locations. The programs are scheduled to begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. and last one hour. Please arrive early.
