The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part I provides information property and facilities managers will need to manage the ongoing operation and maintenance of building systems and to maximize building efficiency and cost-effectiveness. In this course, you will learn about building design and construction, project delivery, construction materials, and building systems, including HVAC, roofing, and plumbing systems, as well as ceilings, flooring, and interior walls.

This course applies to: FMC and PAC certificates; FMA® and RPA® designations.
Understanding Your Registration Options
Registration – Enrolling: If this is your first time enrolling in a BOMI RPA, FMA, SMA, SMT or BOMI-HP program, you will need to select this option. This option is only for those who wish to pursue one of these designations and includes the one-time designation fee.
Registration – Returning: Select this registration option if you are currently enrolled in a BOMI RPA, FMA, SMA, SMT or BOMI-HP program and have already paid the $225 fee to pursue a BOMI designation. Students selecting this option will pay only the class fee.
Registration – Single Course Fee: Select this registration option to pay the one-time course fee. This option is for those who are not pursuing a BOMI designation or who do not intend to enroll in a BOMI designation program.
Important Update about Coursebooks:
As of February 2021, BOMI has made the decision that all students enrolled in BOMI classes will receive a digital course book (eBook) with their enrollment. To access the book, students will need to use an eReader on their computer, tablet, smartphone or other smart device.
