Throughout the commercial real estate industry, a BOMI designation is recognized as a mark of distinction, an emblem of achievement backed by BOMI’s more than 50 years of excellence in developing and offering educational programs.

  • The PPA™ demonstrates your commitment to not only the industry, but your client’s specific, individual needs. You’ll gain a full understanding of the diverse aspects of property management involved in analyzing a building in its entirety. The PPA™ program positions you for long-term success when working with your property professionals.

    In the PPA™ program, you’ll learn how property managers enhance the value of the asset through proper and strategic decision-making. Components of this program include design, operation, and maintenance of an office building. You will become fully versed in budgeting and accounting for commercial real estate, risk management, and best practices in bidding. This program also covers reviewing and selecting contract providers, marketing and leasing the building, and operating the asset from an owner’s perspective through a comprehensive asset management component.

  • Learning about the day-in-the-life of a facilities manager, you’ll build an understanding of productive work environments, as well as how facility managers handle tenant issues such as daily operations, maintenance, comfort, and safety.

    In the FPA™ program, you’ll learn how facility managers best support tenants and staff, while meeting the organization’s overall objectives. The program covers everything from planning and project management to environmental health and worker safety. In addition, you’ll gain the understanding of what information facility managers need to minimize maintenance costs and properly manage other timely issues.

Certificates

BOMA Georgia offers a variety of industry-recognized certificate programs. Certificates earned through BOMA Georgia and its partners are designed to meet the needs of the dynamic commercial real estate industry. These certificates accelerate career growth, signify achievement, and help individuals build value for the properties and people they serve.

  • The CRE Collaborative Service Certificate program is a four-day, five module program designed for new and tenured commercial real estate product and service providers. Instruction in the program familiarizes professionals in the service and products sector with the organization and practices of property management professionals. Topics include an introduction to the commercial real estate industry; finance, accounting, budgeting, and bids; building systems and infrastructure; programs and product alignment for CRE; and doing business in the commercial real estate industry.

    Taught by tenured instructors serving in the commercial real estate industry, program coursework is reinforced through exercises, discussions, tours, and experiential learning. Students must complete all five modules to earn their certificate.
