CRE INDUSTRY DEFENSE
BOMA Georgia has remained active in efforts supporting passage of SB 68, SB 69, and overall tort reform in our state. Our efforts in this legislative process have defended the CRE industry and ensured passage of this legislation.
Learn more about these efforts and the impact of SB 68 with this link and SB 69 with this link.
Advocacy efforts like this take a considerable amount of resources. To ensure BOMA Georgia is well equipped for additional advocacy efforts of this magnitude in the future, we are creating an Industry Defense Fund (IDF). Many other BOMA associations have IDFs. Creating a BOMA Georgia IDF will strengthen our ability to represent the CRE industry through:
Support or opposition of legislative, regulatory, codes, and/or other government advocacy purposes at the state, county, and/or city level in Georgia.
Creation of model legislation, regulations, and/or codes.
Creation of and/or joining onto amicus briefs filed in court.
Educating public officials on issues of importance to the CRE industry.
Taking legal action on behalf of Georgia’s commercial real estate industry.
Seeking IDF matching funds from BOMA International.
Support Georgia’s Real Estate Industry Defense!
We invite you to consider making a financial contribution to establish this new advocacy fund and strengthen BOMA Georgia’s ability to represent and defend the CRE industry. Tackling issues of the magnitude of tort reform takes a considerable amount of financial resources and creating an IDF will help us be well positioned to continue advocating strongly for the CRE industry in the future.
All contributions made by May 5, 2025 will be matched dollar for dollar with funds from BOMA Georgia, doubling the impact of our new Industry Defense Fund and future advocacy efforts.
Additionally, all companies who contribute to the IDF will be recognized during the BOMA Georgia May 7 Luncheon, which is held in conjunction with the BOMA Show Trade Show.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of IDF support, which will substantially strengthen our advocacy efforts going forward. And thank you for all that you do to strengthen the CRE industry through BOMA Georgia.
